Safety
The Transportation DOT & Safety Manager role is responsible for managing the health and safety process for risk reduction, injury prevention, and safety and environmental regulatory compliance as well as DOT regulations at all our locations in the US.
A safety expert in DOT and EHS is responsible for implementing and executing environmental and safety programs that effectively lead the safety culture at Transportation. Safety managers provide leadership and management to Transportation’s safety, security, environmental and DOT programs to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and/or local DOT and Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
It may not be clear for others who need the service of a Safety management. In the trucking sphere we mean every party who must be in compliance. Companies that only do a trucking dispatch don’t have to care about the paperwork. Then a shipper, a broker and of course a big carrier company who are required to have permits, updated documents and generally be in compliance should use a Safety service.
As a rule, most of the big trucking companies create a safety department to take care of documentation, manage employees to be in compliance. It is also possible to hire a safety manager who will work remotely.
A lot of people are interested when it is time to hire a safety manager. If you are an owner of a trucking company we advise you to find an appropriate safety worker as fast as you can. Obtaining this position at the beginning will prevent your company from having numerous penalties, troubles with documents. This person or even the whole department is going to make your drivers’ ratings stable. Remember that proper safety is a key to your successful business.
